About the Role

As an inpatient social worker you will conduct bio-psycho-social assessment and therapeutic social work interventions. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide a high standard of assessment, intervention and discharge planning collaborating with patients to achieve positive health outcomes.

Safe guarding adults at risk is a core component of health social work. The successful candidate will be client-centred in their approach and have excellent risk assessment, counselling and communication skills.

About the Team

Our team of social workers provide service to a variety of inpatient wards, including orthopaedics, surgical, general medical and Emergency medicine.

We are a close-knit team who are dedicated to providing a high standard of care to our Waitematā community.

About You

Our ideal candidate will:

· Hold a Bachelor of Social Work degree or MSW (Applied)

· Be registered with the New Zealand SWRB with a current annual practicing certificate

  • Have an ability to be flexible and adaptable within a busy, fast-paced work environment
  • Be committed to team work and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration

· ANZASW membership and previous hospital experience is preferred.
