  • Based in North Shore Hospital

About Us

The New Zealand Female Pelvic Mesh Service is a new national service that has been established to support and care for women who have suffered injury from pelvic surgical mesh. It is supported by a multi-disciplinary team with input from a range of consulting specialists, allied and supportive therapies, nursing, health navigator and administration roles that work together, to ensure access is more equitable and timelier, and that there is national consistency.

About the Role

The MDM Coordinator is responsible for all administrative processes for the national female pelvic mesh service in addition to the coordination of the NZFPMS Mortality and Morbidity Meeting (M&M) process. 

The role is responsible for:

  • ensuring the quality of the MDM and M&M and its outcomes align with the NZFPMS Terms of Reference and Business Rules
  • ensuring the Key Performance Indicators are met for regular audits
  • ensure that meetings maintain expert advice for safe quality patient outcomes 

The MDM coordinator works in collaboration with the meeting Chair and Deputy Chair, and closely with the administrative team, navigators, nurse specialists and allied health providers.

About You

We are looking for someone with strong relationship skills, excellent oral and written communication skills (including monthly reporting), and a familiarity with quality and clinical processes and clinical outcomes. A lived experience OR demonstrated understanding of the impact of female pelvic mesh and the harm experienced, is essential for all team members in this Service.

  • Previous booking and Scheduling experience (Preferred but not essential)
  • iPM Knowledge
  • Demonstrated success in applying critical analysis skills, engaging stakeholders in change ideas
  • Experience with audit and/or other quality methods
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Accurate computer and data entry skills
  • Interactive Team Player
  • Process and procedure orientated
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility and willingness to work with changing priorities are essential
  • Great interpersonal skills 
  • Empathetic
