We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Clinical or Health Psychologist with the Specialist Renal Service.
You will work with the Renal Multidisciplinary team providing psychological input within the clinic setting.
Your key role is to provide high quality clinical psychology assessment and therapy to people and their whanau/family living with chronic renal illness and/ or a long term health condition. Essential part of this role is also to provide renal transplant assessments and support the donor and recipient pre and post-surgery. You will assist clients to address psychological and emotional barriers and enable them to achieve optimum functioning and well-being.
Ongoing professional development and clinical supervision are provided with this role.

The Clinical Psychologist role is supported by Professional and Clinical Lead for Psychology. You will also be part of a broader team of physical health psychologists across Waitemata. Under the APEX collective contract psychologists receive between $2500 to $4500 (based on the years of experience) per year for Continuing Professional Development which can be accumulated over two years between $5000 to $9000. This offers the chance to attend overseas conferences or multiple workshops, plus books, and subscriptions each year.
To be considered for this position you will have NZ registration, at least three years’ experience in mental health with a current APC. If you have a desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others, we would like to hear from you today.
